Shop Whole Foods Market Capitol Hill Sept. 18 to Help
Denver Public Schools
DENVER. Sept. 4, 2008 – On Thursday, Sept. 18, the Whole Foods Market in Capitol Hill, 900 E. 11th Avenue, will donate 5% of proceeds to the Denver Public Schools Foundation, supporting programs that enrich student learning.
The DPS Foundation was selected by the store as a beneficiary of the Whole Foods Market Community Giving Days, just one way that the stores give back to the community.
Funding will support DPS Foundation programs such as the A to Z Fund, which provides grants to individual schools for materials, field trips and special classes that go beyond schools’ limited budgets. A to Z Fund grants have supported advanced placement textbooks, literacy programs, field trips to local arts and cultural organizations, entry fees for academic competitions, musical instruments for classroom instruction and much more!
