Denver Public Schools Foundation Annual “Achieve” Gala set for
April 20, 2010
Denver (Sept. 18, 2009) – The Denver Public Schools Foundation’s annual “Achieve” gala will celebrate the accomplishments of DPS schools and students on April 20, 2010 at the Hyatt Regency at Colorado Convention Center. Once again this year, UMB is the presenting sponsor of this event.
The event, in its eighth year, will raise funding for programs that help drive student achievement in Denver Public Schools, including principal leadership training, after-school tutoring and enrichment programs, and resources for teachers and classrooms.
The gala will feature a gourmet dinner, remarks by DPS superintendent Tom Boasberg, and performances by talented DPS student groups, including the Montbello High School Drum Line, El Mariachi Juvenil de Bryant Webster, and the East High School Angelaires choir. Governor Bill Ritter and Mayor John Hickenlooper will again serve as honorary co-chairs of the event.
More than 1,200 guests are expected at the event. Sponsorships are now on sale. For more information, visit www.dpsfoundation.org or call 720-423-3964.
